With the rollover and the terms attached, are you better off just depositing and playing with your own money and avoiding house money altogether? I’ve tried both, but I’m wondering how everyone else feels.
I think it really depends on whether or not you’re a local to the casino or if it’s an online casino or not because some of them have good bonuses but in my experience online bonuses have not been very successful as far as producing anything that I could actually cash out but I live in Las Vegas and there are a lot of physical casinos here that have really good bonuses if you really play a lot so it’s kind of a little bit of a bad joke when you see how little the bonus is that you received compared to how much money you’ve actually already given to the casino.
@bama822 - I agree with you here. It’s hard for the online folks to match up with comps at a land based casino given that they’re usually based on theo and handle rates. The online folks use a different model and the thing to watch out for is high rollover requirements. Personally I end up not taking bonuses at all because I prefer to know I’m wagering my cash and can get my cash out pronto. Nothing more of a kick in the nuts than hitting a big bonus round to find out that some bonus money was used and you have to roll it over another 10x to get a cent out.
Yea this was exactly my though for online deals. You feel almost trapped if you happen to hit a big win, you’re likely not seeing much of it.
I always tell new players to go for the small bonuses with low rollover requirements. Or instant payout if possible.
Most players are never getting those ones back with 20-30x rollover.
It would be sweet if online casinos actually comped big spenders on their sites. Similar to Vegas.
I don’t know what that would even look like but like free Netflix or no-fee withdrawals for the next year. Or higher rakeback for poker or something.
Will never happen.
Thanks for all the great advice, strategy seems to be a different color horse in the online gaming scene! Ill keep all this in mind👋. Good luck everyone!
